This trek takes you to the base camp of the highest mountain in the world. Gokyo Lakes Trek takes you to the world’s highest freshwater lake system-Gokyo Lakes at an altitude of 4,700–5,000m. The trekking trail to Gokyo Lakes is less-crowded and follows the route of Everest Base Camp for the first couple of days. From Namche, the trail weaves towards Gokyo valley and ends at Gokyo Ri.

Gokyo Ri at 5,357m commands stunning views of Gokyo Lakes and four 8,000-metre peaks: Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. You can marvel at the Ngozumpa glacier, the longest glacier in the Himalayas.

The Three Passes Trek combines high altitude challenge and exhilarating adventure through the less-traveled trail. This trek leads through the three highest passes in Everest Region, calling for daredevil adventurers. The three passes-Kongma La Pass (5,535/18,159ft), Cho La Pass (5420m/17,782ft), and Renjo La Pass (5,340m/17,520ft)-offers some of the best scenes and ultimate escapade.

The three high passes trek itinerary follows the classic trail of Everest Base Camp crossing the three mountain passes over 5,000m. You can admire the horizon painted with towering peaks like Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Lhotse, and Nuptse. Additionally, you will indulge in a promising hike to Gokyo Ri.

This trek demands at least 20 days, unlike Everest Base Camp, and thus has earned a badge- Challenging Trek in Everest. If you are looking for a shorter trek, you better stick to Everest Base Camp Trek or look at Pikey Peak Trek.

For those of us who have very few days to explore the trekking-trail and want to embrace the sight of the highest mountain in the world, my friend, this trek is definitely for you.

Pikey Peak trek itinerary stretches for 7 days only. Another certain feature of this trek is that it is an easy trek, doable with family. Head to Dhap from Kathmandu, enjoying a scenic ride, and tread through the grassy ridge and forested trail. Rest assured that the trail unfolds the view of Everest and Numbur Himal from the very first day. 

Dudh Kunda Trek

This trek takes you to a sacred lake called Dudh Kunda. Dudh Kunda at 4600m boasts off-the-beaten-path and Himalayan wilderness. You will experience Sherpa culture and generous hospitality.

Dudh Kunda trek itinerary covers the resting grounds in the lower Everest region. You will be able to complete the trek in 10-15 days. Unlike Everest base camp trek or Gokyo Lakes trek, this trek follows the trail through lesser-known villages at the lower altitudes. But again, you will get to marvel at the views of towering peaks.
